Passing through a not very busy MRT station on a regular basis to stay on an elevated skywalk? Is there any official or published policy on what they allow?

My daily commute might change soon, and I'd be walking from the Bang Pho boat pier on the river, to an office directly next to the Bang Pho Gateway mall.

As it happens, there is an MRT skywalk the entire distance, with an escalator from the area next to the boat pier, all the way to the mall -- it spans about 500 meters.

But, the only way to use this skywalk to travel the entire 500 meters is to pass through the MRT station there at Bang Pho. Otherwise, you have to go down to the street and deal with crossing streets, and some unpleasantly uneven sidewalk infrastructure (nearly twisted my ankle on a tipsy sidewalk tile there).

On my exploration walk, the MRT staff allowed me to pass through the station from one side to the other. But I'm curious, if there is any kind of ongoing policy around this? Are they likely to let me continue doing this pass through every day? Or say no?

I do have an MRT card. I haven't tested it yet to see what minimum charge it would incur if I just used that to pass through. I know for the BTS there is some minimum fee to pass through a BTS station if you use your Rabbit card to do it.

I might also mention that I've now been to this MRT station 5+ times and I've never seen it busy. It seems to not be heavily used in general as far as I've noticed... just in case the degree to which they are busy or not affects how they might respond to pass through requests.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
