Any recommendation for good aesthetic clinics ?

A couple of years ago, I used to see clinic recommendations on my news feed featuring really impressive results. However, now that I'm trying to search on Google, I can't seem to find clinics that showcase before-and-after pictures, making it hard to decide. I'm considering getting a collagen-threaded facelift and brow lift while i am there.

since you're already in the sukhumvit area for yoskarn, also pop into the skin clinic at samitivej hospital on soi 49. it's pricier but their doctors are all board certified and they keep a physical portfolio of before/afters in the consultation room. january is peak season for medical tourism so expect wait times even for consultations.

if you want a more budget friendly option without sacrificing quality, try the clinic at the bottom of baiyoke tower ii on ratchaprarop. it's mostly frequented by local office workers and they do threads pretty regularly for around 18,000-22,000 baht per area. just make sure you're clear about wanting the aptos threads like the other person mentioned, some places will default to korean ones unless you ask.

yoskarn is solid for threads yeah but if you want someone who really studies facial proportions before just pulling things tight, check out dr. kittisak at the aesthetics center on sukhumvit 39. he does a lot of correction work where other people's threads went wrong so his consults run long, like 45 minutes of him drawing on your face with a marker talking about bone structure and muscle movement before he even mentions pricing

book through their line account not the website, the website booking system never works properly for january. and bring reference photos of what you want but be ready for him to tell you why it won't look exactly like that on your face which i personally appreciated

one more thing about january specifically - a lot of clinics shut down for like 3-5 days around the second week for children's day and teachers day holidays so factor that into your timing

honestly the clinic game in bangkok is hit or miss with before/after pics because of privacy laws changing a few years back. most legit places stopped posting them publicly but they'll show you in person or on a private line.

for threads specifically i'd check out yoskarn on sukhumvit soi 23, dr. nakorn has been doing them for years and their consult rooms have a tablet with actual results you can scroll through. another solid option is aura clinic near phrom phong bts, their thai clientele is huge so they book up fast, book at least 2-3 weeks ahead for january.

one thing nobody tells you - ask about the thread brand they use. a lot of places push cheaper korean threads but the german ones (aptos) hold better for brow lifts. expect to pay around 25,000-45,000 baht per area depending on how many threads.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
