I applied for it at Chamchuri Square Building immigration and they said it will be ready in 2 weeks. In Phuket you usually get it the same day or next day tops.

Is there any way to accelerate process or maybe apply at different immigration branch where they do it faster?

honestly you're stuck with the 2 week wait at Chamchuri, that's just how it works for Bangkok proper. if you're desperate you could try going to a different office like Muang Thong Thani or the one in Bang Na but they'll prob tell you to go back to your registered address area. the DLT won't touch it unless it's from your official district office anyway

yeah the 2 week wait is normal in BKK unfortunately, chamchuri is just swamped. one thing nobody mentioned is if you have a work permit or a yellow book you might be able to skip the residence cert and just use that directly at DLT, depends on the officer tho

Two weeks is pretty standard for Bangkok, they're just slower than the islands. No way to speed it up unless you know someone.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
