Where have all the coworkers gone?

I was a member at the first one in 2019, and it was a vibrant and social place that is now more dead and empty than a Nana veteran's sense of morality.

The other one seemed nice on paper but turned out to be but more of the same. I got the same sense from a few other places I scouted out in my first week back.

In both places I worked at, the focus was on renting out private offices and the advertised coworking spaces were mostly empty. The occasional coworker would only stay for a day, and nothing felt as social as when I was working in this city in 2019.

I guess my question is: How do any of you experience coworking culture in Bangkok in the years post-covid? Was there an explosion of coworking places that caused everyone to spread out too thin?

Or did most coworkers/diginomads move away and did the few people that were left just congregate in 2-3 larger coworkings?

Love to hear if there are still some nice social coworkings out there.

Edit: jeesh, immediate judgment and downvotes. Ofc I mean coworkings that have active members and social meetups outside main working hours (like networking events and informative lectures etc.)

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
