Best Neighborhood in Bangkok for a Night Owl?
Moving to Bangkok and working nights on a US Eastern Time schedule (around 8 PM to 4 AM BKK time). I'm looking for neighborhoods that suit this lifestyle.

Moving to Bangkok and working nights on a US Eastern Time schedule (around 8 PM to 4 AM BKK time). I'm looking for neighborhoods that suit this lifestyle.
Key needs:
24-hour conveniences: restaurans, groceries, etc.
Bonus for areas with 24/7 gyms or a good nighttime market. Condo/apartment suggestions are also welcome!

ngl i'd look at on nut instead of the more expensive ekamai/thonglor area. it's further down sukhumvit but still has tons of 24hr stuff like the tesco lotus on sukhumvit soi 50 which is open 24/7 for groceries. plus there's a 24hr gym called we fitness that's cheap and never crowded at 3am. the bts runs late enough to get you home from anywhere and on nut is way more affordable for a condo with blackout curtains
honestly ekamai or thonglor are solid picks for your schedule. lots of 24/7 convenience stores like 7-eleven and foodland on sukhumvit soi 63. there's a 24-hour gym called fitness first near gateway ekamai that's decent. for late night eats, the sukhumvit soi 38 night market is open til like 3 or 4 am, grab some khao man gai there. condos like the room ekamai or noble remix have good security and are walkable to all that. just avoid the noisy parts right on sukhumvit road itself, the soi side streets are quieter for sleeping during the day.
Ratchada-Rama 9 area might work better than Sukhumvit for your schedule. It's where a lot of the late-night Thai crowd actually hangs out, not just expats. The Huai Khwang night market runs until around 4am with proper food stalls and fresh fruit, not the touristy stuff. There's a 24-hour Fitness First on Ratchadaphisek Road near the MRT and plenty of condos like Ideo Mobi or Life Asoke that have blackout-ready bedrooms. The MRT runs until midnight so you'd need a taxi home after 4am, but it's only 100-150 baht from most nightlife spots.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
