Does anyone know where I can buy a didgeridoo here? Thank you.
There's a music shop on Sukhumvit Soi 55 that specializes in world instruments. It's called Rhythm of Asia, near Thong Lo BTS. They stock all sorts of unusual things, didgeridoos included. I'd call ahead first though, their inventory changes.
honestly i've never seen a didgeridoo for sale in bangkok but if anyone would have it it's probably the weekend market. chatuchak has that one lane near section 7 where they sell all the random instruments and hippie stuff. i think i saw some digeridoo-adjacent things there once but dont quote me on that
if not, try khao san road. some of those souvenir shops stock weird stuff that tourists ask for, might have one tucked in the back. but tbh you'd prob have better luck ordering online and shipping it here, grab or lazada are your friends
Khao San Road is prob your best bet for a walk-in, I've seen them at a couple of the bigger souvenir shops near the backpacker end, usually hanging with the didgeridoo CDs and cheap didj bags. prices are inflated though, like 2,500 baht for something that'd be 800 online
if you're up for a hunt, the weekend market has a guy in section 24 who sells aboriginal art and sometimes has a few real ones, not the tourist bamboo knockoffs. he's near the back wall, past the furniture stalls. bring cash, he doesnt take card
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
