You've got plenty of options around Phrom Phong. There's The Lab on Sukhumvit 39, which is popular and right in your area, they do small group PT and one-on-one. For individual sessions expect to pay around 1,000 to 1,500 baht per hour for a decent trainer, though some of the flashier places near EmQuartier can push closer to 2,000. If you want cheaper, some trainers work out of condo gyms and charge around 700 to 900 baht, you just have to find them through Facebook groups or local expat pages.

honestly if you're in sukhumvit 35-39 you could walk to ironaddict on soi 39/1, it's a smaller gym but the trainers there are solid and less commercial than the lab. they charge around 900-1200 per session depending on the trainer's experience level. I've seen some guys there who used to compete and they actually know their stuff, not just the generic "do 3 sets of 10" type

yeah the lab is solid, also check out fitness revolution near asoke, it's in the exchange tower. most places run 1000-1500 an hour like the other person said, but if you negotiate a block of sessions some trainers will knock it down a bit

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
