Where to buy F1 Formula 1 merch in Bangkok? (even unofficial)

Basically what the title says. Has anyone found F1 merch anywhere even from a street vendor or night market?

Looking for McLaren and Redbull

chatuchak market on weekends has a few stalls with knockoff f1 shirts, usually the red bull ones are easier to find there since they just slap the logo on anything. i saw some mclaren caps near section 8 but the colors were off, like a weird papaya orange that didn't match. if u want something semi-official, check the central world basement level near the super sports outlet, they sometimes have leftover red bull racing polos from last season for like 800 baht

The F1 pop-up shop at Siam Paragon usually has some McLaren stuff when there's a race weekend coming up, but between races the selection gets thin. For unofficial gear, head to the MBK Center on the 4th floor where a few stalls sell team shirts and caps for around 300-500 baht. The quality varies a lot so check the stitching before you buy. Pratunam Market also has random stalls with Red Bull gear near the Indra Square side, more hit or miss but cheaper.

honestly just hit up the stalls along Khao San Road at night, they've got random F1 tees mixed in with all the tourist junk. saw a few red bull ones last week for like 200 baht, not great quality but fine for a souvenir. also check the basement floor of Platinum Fashion Mall, some shops there sell unbranded team-colour jackets that look close enough to the real thing

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
