Moderators, can we add this list of volenteer organizations to the wiki?

A great post was made earlier today asking for suggestions of different non-profit organizations or places that they can volenteer at.

It would be great…

It would be great to add a page in the wiki called "Volenteer Organizations" or something like that, so we can continue to help these organizations instead of them being lost to the abyss of the internet.

honestly the mods prob wont see this unless you message em. but if you do get it added, the key is keeping it simple cause wikis here die fast. maybe just a google sheet link instead of a full wiki page, easier to update and share around

yeah that post was solid, lots of good places listed. fwiw the mods here are pretty responsive if u message them directly with the link and a short pitch, that usually works faster than hoping they see it organically. i'd suggest keeping the wiki page to just a short description and a contact link per org, too many details and nobody updates it later

the monk chat foundation out past rattanakosin island is always looking for english speakers to help with their kids programs, i volunteered there a few years back and they were genuinely understaffed on the foreigner side. also worth checking if bangkok community help is still active, they used to do meal runs near asok and the contact info on their old facebook page might still work

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
