saw the same thing around asok intersection heading towards phrom phong. pretty sure it was a motorbike vs taxi near soi 31, that corner is always chaotic even without accidents. if ur still stuck, the bts is still running but the station might be packed. better to walk to thong lo or grab a scooter if u can find one

yeah its bad rn, my condo overlooks sukhumvit soi 33 and i can hear sirens nonstop for the last 20 mins. the bts is still running but asok station is a nightmare, people are spilling onto the street trying to get taxis that can't move. if you're near nana or asok, honestly just walk to soi 24 and grab a beer at cheap charlies until it clears, the traffic aint moving for another hour at least

just passed through there on the bike. its a mess from asok all the way past soi 33. heard from a friend who lives near soi 31 that a taxi ran the red and clipped a motorb taxi, the passenger went flying. 5 ambulances sounds about right for how backed up the traffic is. if you're heading east, soi 35 is your best bet to cut through to phra khanong, but even that's slow right now.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
