I would love some insights on which ones to choose, or if you have other ideas near the BTS.

About me: I'm a remote worker so I will work a lot from my condo.

Thanks you

Rhythm 50 is the closest walk to the BTS, like 3 mins from the exit, but Sukhumvit 50 traffic getting in and out by car is a nightmare if u ever grab a taxi. For a remote worker tho, Q House 79 is prob the best of the three, bigger rooms and the building is quieter, plus there's a Tops and a few decent cafes right at the soi mouth. Ideo Mobi 81 has thinner walls imo, I've heard people complain about noise from the pool deck. Also look at Lumpini Suite Sukhumvit 79 if you want another option in the same area, often cheaper.

for working from home the bigger issue is internet not the building. true move around on nut is decent but some of the older 2013 towers only have AIS fibre in the building, not 3BB, so check what's actually wired to the unit before u sign. q house 79 & ideo mobi 81 are both fine on that front from what i remember.

also the on nut side streets flood pretty bad in sept oct, soi 50 gets ankle deep, so ground floor units there are a no. if u want quiet for calls, look at the units facing away from sukhumvit, the ones on the soi side still catch the motorbike noise at 6am

tbh the 2013 build year is the thing to watch, all three of those are coming up on 12+ years so check the juristic person's sinking fund before you commit. older towers in that range sometimes have surprise assessments or a pool that's been "under renovation" for 8 months. Q House 79 has held up better than Ideo Mobi 81 in my experience, the common areas at Mobi feel tired. also worth looking at Aspire Sukhumvit 48 if you're flexible on the soi, it's a bit further but newer and quieter for calls.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
