Is there a provider that bundled with calling time? If not, how do I pay the extra for the calling time, because I understand it charges by per minute?

The smaller carriers like TOT and CAT also sell SIMs with call minutes, but their coverage outside central Bangkok can be spotty. If you're sticking with AIS, their "One-2-Call" SIMs have a "Net+Call" option that includes 50 minutes for 200 baht for 7 days, which you can set up at their shop in Siam Paragon or any 7-Eleven. For topping up without changing your plan, just go to any 7-Eleven counter and say "top up AIS" with cash, then dial 1201# to activate 1 baht per minute calls.

true has a tourist sim that bundles like 30-100 minutes depending on the package, i usually grab the 8-day one at the airport arrival hall for 299 baht. if you run out of minutes, just top up at any 7-11 and they have a per-minute rate around 1 baht, you activate it by dialing 900123# or something similar, the cashier can show u

dtac's "Happy Tourist" SIM also comes with call minutes, their 8-day 299 baht pack gives you 15GB data plus 100 minutes of calls. if you go over, just top up at any 7-Eleven and dial 1131# to activate their 1 baht per minute rate, pretty standard across all carriers here honestly

one thing nobody mentioned yet - you can also buy a "call time add-on" directly from your carrier's app or by dialing their USSD codes, no need to switch plans. for AIS it's 7774# and you pick how many minutes you want, starts at like 30 baht for 50 minutes. way easier than messing with your main package

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
