First time traveler here! I read online that there are recommended vaccines for travel to Thailand.

Just wanted to hear what other travelers have done prior to travel, are they necessary, and which ones should I prioritize.

Any information would awesome. Thanks!!

ngl I just got hep A and typhoid before my first trip and called it good. Street food is too good to skip so better safe than sorry imo. You can get both at the same time at a travel clinic, pretty quick

I'd check with a travel clinic rather than relying on what random people did, since your regular doctor might not stock everything. Hepatitis A is the one most people actually get here because it's spread through food and water, and it's pretty common to pick up even at decent restaurants in Bangkok. You should also make sure your routine shots like MMR and polio are up to date, since outbreaks happen sometimes in the city's crowded areas.

Honestly, most people don't bother with anything special for Bangkok. I've never gotten a vaccine before trips here. The only one that's kinda standard is tetanus, but you prolly already have that. Just watch what you eat and you'll be fine

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
