I'm a singer, songwriter, producer, with some good gear for both recording and filmmaking.
I've got a lot of solo stuff on the boil, as well as producing for some other very talented artists...
But I long for a band situation. The camaraderie, the spontaneity, some gigs!
I play a bit of guitar, bass, keys, drum programming/mixing. I sing and sometimes rap. I have many recorded songs I can show those interested. I also have a fully-analog, 32-channel studio at the family château in France, so if we get something cool going there is the option to spend a few months there writing and recording.
I'm into everything, genre-wise. I blend a lot of genres in my own production, so I'm very open-minded where that's concerned.
I'm currently based in Pathum Wan half the year. Not sure how my neighbours will react to drums and guitar amps but have not had a noise complaint so far 🤔
honestly your setup sounds sick, a fully analog studio in france is a dream. have you checked out the underground scene at Speakeasy on Soi 31? they do monthly open sessions where people just jam and see what sticks, less formal than Jam Cafe. also the musicians I know in Pathum Wan swear by renting space at Baan Jam on Ngam Duphli, it's a rehearsal spot that doesn't care about noise and you can prob find bandmates just hanging around there. your genre blending thing would fit in well with the crowd that shows up
your place in france sounds unreal, ngl. have you been to the jam sessions at the iron fairies on thonglor? it's a bit touristy but the basement gets packed with actual musicians who are down to experiment, not just play hotel california for the 1000th time. the owner books random genre-mash acts so you wouldn't stick out. also if you're in pathum wan, check out the rehearsal rooms at the old siam music school on rama 1, they're cheap and nobody cares about noise after 6pm. i'd skip trying to jam at your condo unless you want your neighbors to start a band of their own to file complaints
I've seen a few bands come together at Jam Cafe on Soi Sukhumvit 11, they have open jam nights on Wednesdays that might be worth checking out. The crowd there is pretty open to different genres and you'd probably find some musicians who are tired of the cover band circuit. Also, if you're in Pathum Wan, you could try posting on the notice board at Overstay on Sathorn, that place is a hub for creative types with your kind of setup.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
