Would anyone in the same age group as me have some ideas or that would go in the same time ik going the 14th november

yeah at 15 you're not getting into any clubs so dont worry about that. khao san road is full of backpackers but they're mostly 20s-30s so not ur crowd either

honestly the best bet is just hitting up the big malls like siam paragon or mbk in the afternoon, lots of thai teens hang around the food courts and gaming floors. theres a place called kidzoona at fashion island that's more for younger kids but the arcade section at siam square one has a bunch of teens playing rhythm games and trading cards. u could prob just walk up and ask to join a game of taiko or something, thai teens are pretty friendly if u try speaking a bit of thai

also check out the thai version of discord called "line" - join the open chats for teenagers in bangkok, just search "teen bangkok" or "bkk teens" in the app. way more active than facebook groups for ur age

honestly at 15 bangkok nightlife isnt really ur scene anyway, most clubs are 20+ and they check ids pretty strictly. try the bangkok teens or thai teen exchange groups on facebook, lots of locals and expats ur age posting meetups for malls and arcades. siam square and centralworld have big gaming cafes like a space and mega plaza where teens hang out naturally, ur mom could drop u there for a few hours. also check the app meetup, filter for all ages or teen events, theres board game nights and language exchanges that are chill and not weird

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
