Can anyone recommend a termite control place?

I've got a persistent termite problem in my (owned) apartment. The building management sends guys around to spray but it's not effective. Need someone with more killer instinct.

Any recommendations?

yeah the building spray is mostly a waste of time for apartments, they just do the surface stuff to say they did it. you want a place that'll actually drill into the walls and put down bait stations or liquid barrier. I used Termidor Solution once for my condo near Thong Lo, they came with a thermal camera to find where teh termites were nesting, cost like 4,000 but they gave a 6 month warranty. their number's 02-xxx-xxxx but i'd just search their name on Line, faster.

The building management spray is basically just a cosmetic fix. If you own the unit, you're better off getting a targeted treatment rather than relying on the common area stuff. I'd recommend Siam Pest Control, they're based out of the Bang Na area but do work all over the city. They use a gel bait system that gets injected into the wall voids and around door frames, and they'll actually come back for follow-ups if you see activity again. It'll run you around 3,500 for a one bedroom and they usually give a year warranty on their work.

For apartments in Bangkok, especially older condos, the problem is often in the wall cavities or under the floorboards where the building's general spray can't reach. I'd call Poondee Pest Control, they do a lot of work in the Sukhumvit area and actually drill and inject the walls rather than just misting the baseboards. Expect to pay around 3,000 to 5,000 baht depending on the size of the unit, and they'll usually give you a guarantee for a few months.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
