Nice roads to drive a motorcycle 1 or 2h away from Bangkok?

I have been to beautiful roads in Kanchanaburi or Hua Hin but I would like something a little closer as I want to do a day trip. Any idea? I have been to beautiful roads in Kanchanaburi or Hua Hin but I would like something a little closer as I want to do a day trip. Any idea?

honestly if you want something closer than kanchanaburi but still with some curves, take the 340 out toward suphan buri then cut onto the 321. it's about an hour from bangkok proper and the road winds through some rubber plantations and small hills, nothing dramatic but way more interesting than the straight highways. there's a decent noodle shop around km 45 called kuaytiaw ruea pa that does boat noodles with pork rinds, perfect mid-ride stop. just keep an eye out for the occasional tractor on the narrow bits

The road along the eastern side of the Chao Phraya, from Pak Kret down to Nonthaburi, is a solid option if you want something close and quiet. It's mostly flat but runs right along the river with old temples and stilt houses, and traffic is light on weekday mornings. You can stop at Wat Chalermprakiat for the temple with the golden chedis on the hill, then cross back via the Rama IV bridge. Takes about 45 minutes from central Bangkok to get out there, and the whole loop is maybe two hours at a relaxed pace.

ngl theres a fun little loop out toward lam luk ka that most people skip. take the 304 east past the airport then hang a left onto the 3312, it snakes through some old rice paddies and fruit orchards with these random temples popping up every few k. about 55 mins from bkk and you can hit the wat pho bang o for the giant reclining buddha thats way less crowded than the one in town. traffic is light on sunday mornings and theres a solid khao man gai spot at the junction near khlong 7 if u need fuel

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
