Where can I buy lion's mane powder/mushroom IN STORE?

I'm looking to try some lions mane powder (or whole mushroom) for mental clarity. Where can I buy some in person.

I am NOT asking where to buy online for delivery.

Villa Market is your best bet for an actual shelf item, they usually stock Tastes of Thai or similar branded powders in the supplement aisle near the pharmacy section. For fresh whole mushrooms, head to Or Tor Kor market in Chatuchak, some of the dried goods stalls there carry split lion's mane, though it's not always in stock, so ask for "het khao" and they'll point you to it. If you're near Siam, the Gourmet Market at Siam Paragon also has a decent health food corner, but prices are about 30% higher than Villa.

if ur near aek at rama 9, the basement floor has a small organic market on weekends, some vendors sell fresh het khao, the thai name for lion's mane, cheap too like 100-150 baht for a big one. for powder, check the herb section at wats, specifically wat pho's gift shop has a few jars of mushroom blends, not sure if pure lion's mane but worth asking. also, topps at central embassy has a tiny wellness aisle near the cheese, weird spot but they carry a japanese brand of powdered mushrooms sometimes.

honestly just check the big malls, like central world or emporium. they all have those health food corners with powder jars, kinda pricy but fine. or hit up a chinese herbal shop in chinatown, they usually have dried mushrooms, not sure about lion's mane specifically

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
