if you're craving thai desserts for delivery, don't sleep on "khao niew moon" from a place like khao niew moon bangkok on grab. it's just warm coconut sticky rice with ripe mango on the side, simple and perfect when you want something comforting. for a cold option, "tub tim krob" from after you dessert cafe on foodpanda is great, those water chestnut rubies in sweet coconut milk with crushed ice. another one i like is "foy thong" from any thai dessert shop, those thin egg threads in sweet syrup are a nice change if you're tired of coconut milk stuff

honestly skip the bua loy chains and try "khao niew moon" from any decent thai dessert shop it's just sticky rice with coconut cream and you pour it over whatever you have lying around. i'm partial to the one from khao niew moon bangkok on grab, they do a version with ripe mango on the side and the rice is still warm when it arrives. if you want something cold and weirdly addictive get "tub tim krob" from after you dessert cafe on foodpanda, it's those water chestnut rubies in sweet coconut milk with crushed ice and it's way better than it sounds.

bua loy is a classic but if you want something similar with more texture try "saku bi mak" from any place that does thai desserts. it's those little tapioca balls in coconut milk with corn and pumpkin. khanom bua loi on suk 55 is my go-to for delivery, they do a good version with taro and sweet potato balls. for something totally different grab a "khao niao mamuang" from mango tango, it's overpriced in person but the delivery is fine and hits the sweet spot

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
