To Non-Thai people, how did you land a job in Thailand?

For you to land a job in Thailand, how much of effort, luck, and skills was required?

Also, how much time did it take from applying to getting the job?

I came in on a digital nomad visa first, then switched to a work permit once I found a company willing to sponsor. The key was networking in person, not just applying online. I spent about three months going to co-working events and meetups around Sukhumvit before I got a referral that actually led to an offer. Skills mattered more than luck for me because I had a niche in digital marketing for Thai e-commerce platforms, which most locals weren't experienced with yet.

honestly it was mostly luck for me. i applied to like 50 places on jobsdb and only got one interview, but that turned into an offer. took about 2 months from applying to actually starting work. skills matter but theyre not picky if you speak english and have a degree, the real filter is visa sponsorship.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
