What's the app/website to report asshole taxis?

the grab app itself has a report feature now, under your ride history you can flag drivers for things like refusing the meter or harassment. they actually do something about it too, i know a guy who got a driver banned for trying to overcharge at the airport

another low-key move is to post on the bangkok taxi facebook groups, there's a few with thousands of members. the plate number and a photo spreads fast, drivers hate getting called out there

if you're near a police box, just walk in and show them the photo. the ones in tourist areas like khao san or silom are used to dealing with this stuff

honestly just use the 1584 hotline, it's the tourist police number and they actually respond in english. had a driver try to charge me 500 baht for a short trip from sukhumvit to asok and they showed up in 10 minutes

the 1197 line is for the land transport department but you'll prob need thai to get through. 1584 is way easier for farang

just take a photo of their license plate and the taxi registration card on the dashboard before you start arguing. helps a lot

traffy fondue is the app locals actually use, its on ios and android. you can snap a photo of the plate and location and it goes straight to the BMA. they dont do english but google translate works fine for the complaint form

another option is the 1555 hotline for bangkok city hall, theyll transfer u to the right department. had a friend use it when a taxi refused the meter near siam square and they followed up within a day

honestly the taxi registration card on the dashboard is key, it has the drivers name and plate. get that photo before u even say anything. most drivers back down when they see u taking pictures

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
