check k village on sukhumvit 26 closer to halloween, they usually have a bin of imported pumpkins near the entrance. they're smaller and pricier than what you'd find in the us, like 500-800 baht for a medium one. if you just want the look for a party decoration, the craft stores at chatuchak market often sell foam or plastic ones year-round that are way cheaper and easier to transport

tops market at central world usually has them around mid-october, but they're not cheap. you'll find smaller ones at villa market too, imported from australia or the us. if you just want the look for a party, some of the flower markets like pak khlong might have decorative ones closer to the date

honestly if you're just craving the carving experience and not the actual pumpkin, you can find decent sized ones at the wholesale fruit market in si mueang. they get shipments from australia and sometimes new zealand around this time, way cheaper than the supermarkets like 200 baht for a big one. just go early in the morning before the heat hits, and bring your own bag cause they don't do plastic ones

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
