I was wondering which is best / if any are better than Vicks inhalers?

poy-sian is the one locals actually use, not just tourists grabbing yadom on a whim. the liquid version in the little glass bottle with the green cap is stronger and lasts way longer than those plastic stick ones. you can find it at any boot's or watsons for like 30 baht. just don't drop the bottle it'll shatter on the tile

Yadom is the strongest one you'll find at 7/11 and it works fast, but it's basically menthol and camphor with a bit of eucalyptus. The Vicks inhaler is milder and less intense if you just want something subtle. I'd skip the cheaper no-name ones near the register, they barely last a day. If you're in a pharmacy like Boots or Watsons, ask for the brand "Poy-Sian" in the small glass bottle, it's a local favorite and hits harder than the plastic stick types.

Honestly the Poy-Sian one is good but if you want something that's not a liquid or stick, try the "Heng Tai" brand inhaler. It's a powder you sniff, super strong and clears you out in seconds. You'll find it at most Chinese medicine shops or some pharmacies in Yaowarat.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
