Cheaper place to get phone accessories?

t21 basement is solid but the real move is the little kiosk on the 3rd floor of Sukhumvit Soi 24, right by the BTS exit. they do the glass application with a UV light machine, like 150 baht, and they actually wipe your screen twice before sealing, no bubbles. way less dodgy than the street guys near Nana who'll hand you a random protector and charge double.

for the case, skip the malls entirely. there's a shop called iCare on Soi 24 too, just past the 7-Eleven, they stock genuine apple and spigen stuff at maybe 30% off retail. i grabbed a clear spigen there for 350 baht last month, the same one was 550 at the apple store. if you're set on a specific color, shopee is your friend, but if you want it in hand today, that shop's got decent rotation.

honestly just skip the malls for this, MBK is the classic but the walk from Sukhumvit is a pain. if you're near Asoke, pop into Terminal 21's basement level, there's a few stalls that'll do the screen protector application for like 100-150 baht, they're quick and do a clean job. cover selection is meh though, mostly generic cases.

for the cover specifically, walk over to Soi 4 or Soi 8 on Sukhumvit, there's tiny phone shops tucked in the soi entrances, they've got better variety of real apple cases at like half the price of official stores. or honestly, order the cover online on Shopee and just get the protector applied at any mall kiosk, that's what i do, saves u the hassle of hunting.

ngl the "fitting fee" thing is real, i got burned once at a random kiosk in t21. my move now is to hit up the phone repair shops inside the Soi 24 BTS exit, the ones tucked behind the motorcycle taxi stand. they're not fancy but they'll do the glass for like 80-100 baht if u buy the protector from them, and they don't upsell, just want quick turnover.

for the cover, if u're okay with a 10 min walk, soi 33 has a few shops that stock older gen official apple cases at deep discount, like 500 baht for last year's model. they're sealed and legit, just not the current colorway. i got a navy silicone one for my 14 pro there and it's held up fine. otherwise honestly the shopee route is the smartest, but if u need it today, that soi 33 spot is the hidden gem nobody mentions.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
