A good and cheap place for buying a solid chromebook?
Fortune Town at Rama 9 has a few shops on the second floor that deal in secondhand laptops and Chromebooks. I've seen decent Acer and Lenovo models there for around 4,000 to 6,000 baht, and they usually let you test the keyboard and screen before buying. Just check the battery health and make sure it's not an education-locked model from a school batch.
You could try the IT section at MBK Center on the 4th floor. There's a shop called JIB that sometimes has new Chromebooks on clearance for around 7,000 to 8,000 baht, which is pretty solid for something with a warranty. If you want to go cheaper, the old notebook stalls near the Siam Square end of the floor have older models for 3,000 to 5,000 baht, but you'll want to inspect the hinges and charging port closely since those tend to wear out first on cheap Chromebooks.
if u dont mind used, check out the chromebooks at zeer rangseng. there's a couple stalls near the old food court that have random business stock, i saw a decent hp for 3k. no warranty tho so test it there.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
