Anyone have a fitness 24/7 gold or black member card?

black card holders can only invite someone to the same tier theyre on, so if ur set on gold dont waste a black holder's slot expecting gold perks. also the free month lands as credit on month 2 not month 1, so budget for two full payments upfront. i did mine at the ladprao branch, way less foot traffic than the malls & they actually answer the phone

the referral thing works but the free month only kicks in after your first payment clears, not upfront. also black card holders get a better deal at the asok branch vs phrom phong, staff there actually process the invite same day. if ur near siam the discovery mall location is smaller but way less pushy on the 24 month contracts.

Worth knowing the black card referral resets on your join date anniversary, not the calendar year, so a holder who signed up in say March still has slots even if it's December now. Also the waived 999 is the registration fee, but the 500 is an annual membership card charge that some branches quietly tack back on at renewal, so ask them to confirm it in writing on the contract. If you're flexible on location, the On Nut branch tends to have shorter queues for processing invites than the Asok one everyone mentions.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
