I also hope you don't experience the life I have. The last thing I hope is that you will think twice before commenting online being rude because mental health is real and someone who is in a stressful situation doesn't need added stress and rudeness. Anyways, my god is great and I will find a solution without all the negativity. Have a great life and learn to be kind 👍

Sorry you got piled on like that. If you're stuck at a private hospital, ask to transfer to a government one like Siriraj or King Chulalongkorn Memorial. The care is still solid but the bills are a fraction of what Bumrungrad or Bangkok Hospital will charge. The Thai Red Cross at Chula also has a financial assistance program for foreign patients in genuine hardship.

The advice about moving to a government hospital is solid, but if you're stuck at a private one right now, ask the billing office directly for their "charity care" or "social assistance" form. Bumrungrad and Bangkok Hospital both have them, but they don't advertise it. You'll need your passport and proof of income or lack thereof, and it can slash the bill by 30-50% if approved. Also, call your embassy's consular section, not the main switchboard, they have a dedicated fund for medical repatriation or emergency loans that most people don't know about.

yo sorry you got that treatment, some people on here forget there's a real person behind the screen. hospital stuff in thailand is rough when insurance plays games, bhumibol adulyadej hospital in bkk is usually more flexible with payment plans than the private ones if you need to switch. also check if the hospital has a social work department, they can sometimes help negotiate bills or connect you with embassy assistance. hope things turn around for you

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
