Any tattoo shop that have flashes and accept walk in?

sawasdee Tattoo in the old town is good for walk-ins too, they're on charoen krung near the river. their flash is mostly traditional thai sak yant style but they have some modern designs as well. if u want something quick and simple i'd go there over khao san road spots, less of a queue and the pricing is fair

if you're around siam square there's a tiny place called ink inc on the 3rd floor of one of the sois, they have a decent flash board and usually take walk-ins until 7pm. prices are fair for the area, around 1500-2500 baht for small pieces. i'd avoid the weekend though, it gets packed with students

honestly most shops in Bangkok that do flash will take walk-ins, especially on weekdays. if you're near khao san road try All Day Tattoo, they've got a solid flash wall and the artists are chill about walk-ins. just go before like 3pm cause it gets busy later. for something less touristy check out Black Cat in Ekkamai, they do walk-ins too but bring cash cause some places still don't take card

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
