Minibus hire recommendations?
Has anyone got any recommendations for drivers or companies that we could u… I'm trying to arrange a trip from Bangkok to Rayong for myself and about ten other people from my work in a few weeks time.
Has anyone got any recommendations for drivers or companies that we could use for a mini bus(and driver) to drive us down and then pick us up a few days later? TIA
honestly just go to the minibus terminal near mo chit bts, tons of vans heading that way daily. for a private hire with 10 people tho, try contacting the guys at 'bus hire bangkok' on facebook, they're pretty reliable and speak english well enough. should run you around 4-5k baht round trip for that size group, maybe a bit more if you want them to wait around in rayong. if u want something easier, the hotel or guesthouse in rayong might know a local driver to bring u back, cheaper than bringing the same bus back from bkk
I've used a company called BKK Minibus Hire a couple times for work trips, they're on Line and respond pretty quick. For ten people you'd want one of their bigger vans, probably around 5,500 baht round trip including waiting time in Rayong. Just tell them the pickup spots and they handle everything.
both replies are solid but honestly for a work group just use grab's van service in the app. you can book a 12-seater minibus with driver for a day trip or multi-day hire, they set the price upfront and you don't have to haggle or worry about language issues. it'll probably be closer to 6k baht round trip since grab takes a cut but the convenience is worth it for a work thing imo. the driver will wait in rayong if you pay for his accommodation or just arrange a pickup time, they're used to that
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
