Any one else unable to open SCB? Got quite a surprise trying to pay for lunch, stuck loading screen and can't QR code scan... not great as I stopped carrying cash for work days. honestly this happens every couple months with SCB, their app updates always seem to break something. if you're near a krungsri atm you can withdraw cash with just your phone number and a one time pin from their app, no card needed. i keep a 500 baht backup in my phone case after getting stuck at a street stall in silom that only took cash

yeah it's been spotty since this morning, my girlfriend had the same issue at 7-11 on sukhumvit soi 39 around noon. seems like they had a backend update or something cause it came back for her after about 20 mins. if ur in a pinch, true wallet's been reliable and most street vendors accept promptpay via other bank apps too

ugh that sucks, SCB app is notorious for this. if you're near a 7-11 or family mart the kiosk machines let you do cash withdrawals with just your phone number and a one time code from the app, no card needed. i actually switched to using krungthai next for daily stuff cause their app rarely craps out like this, and promptpay works across all banks anyway

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
