That road is mostly only restaurants, and I can see it's mostly mookata, noodles and ice cream shops, so it's not as diverse as the night market.

honestly they're pretty different vibes so it depends what you're after. Srinagarindra is huge and chaotic, lots of vintage clothes and random knick-knacks plus food, but it gets packed on weekends and it's a bit out of the way if you're staying central. Banthat Thong is more about eating your way down one street, yeah mostly restaurants but the quality is solid and you can hop between places without dealing with crowds. I'd pick Banthat Thong if you're a food person who wants a chill evening, Srinagarindra if you actually want to shop or browse stuff

Srinagarindra is fun for the spectacle but it's a production to get there. You're looking at 30-40 minutes by taxi from central Bangkok depending on traffic, and the BTS doesn't go that far. Banthat Thong is way more convenient if you're staying anywhere near Siam or Sukhumvit, you can just grab a motorbike taxi for 40 baht and be there in ten minutes. I'd take Banthat Thong any evening unless I specifically wanted to hunt for vintage furniture or records.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
