Good condos 20k or less in Bangkok near the BTS or MRT?

I'm in my mid-20's, and more of a foodie than a party person. I've been looking in Bang Sue, Bang Na, and Chatuchak. I was wondering if anyone in this community had any suggestions.

since you're more into food than parties, i'd actually look at Phra Khanong BTS area. it's a stop between On Nut and Ekkamai so you get the best of both worlds. tons of Isaan food stalls on Sukhumvit 71 and the W District market has a solid rotation of food trucks and craft beer if you want a drink without the club vibe

you can find studios around 17-19k in older buildings like The Room or The Tree, just check if the building has a pool that actually gets maintained. the walk from the BTS to most condos is shaded which matters more than you think in April

Check out the area around Samrong BTS. It's a bit further out but still on the Sukhumvit line, so you're maybe 25 minutes to Asok. There are newer buildings going for 12-15k that would feel like a steal compared to On Nut, and the street food scene along Samrong Tai Road is legit. The local market there has a guy making kanom krok that's better than anything I've had in the city center, and it's like 30 baht.

honestly skip Bang Sue and Chatuchak for your age group. Bang Na is fine but you'll be spending a lot on transport if you're going out often.

check out On Nut or Ari instead. On Nut has tons of street food (the soi 77/1 market is unbeatable for under 100 baht meals) and a big condo supply so you can find something decent for 15-18k. Ari has more cafes and a younger crowd, studios around 18-20k if you look near the Saphan Khwai side. both are on the BTS so you're connected without living in a ghost town at night

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
