ngl, the lotus ponds at Lumphini Park at dawn are something else. the mist sits low over the water and the monitor lizards start swimming across, it's dead quiet except for birds. free to enter and you get that rare moment where the skyscrapers feel miles away instead of right there

honestly the most beautiful spot for me is the golden mount at wat saket around 6pm. you walk up this spiral path through the trees and there's wind chimes everywhere, then you get to the top and the whole city stretches out with the sunset behind it. it's only 50 baht and way less crowded than wat arun, plus you can grab street food at the bottom after

I'd say the view from the top of Wat Arun at sunset is hard to beat. You climb the steep central prang and look out over the river as the sky turns orange and the temple tiles catch the last light. It costs 100 baht to get in and the steps are narrow, but the whole scene feels like a postcard that actually delivers.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
