if you're not in a rush, try the storage places in the old town area near khao san, some of the guesthouses there rent out unused basement space for like 400-600 baht a month, just ask at the front desk. they're not fancy but they're dry and locked. also check facebook marketplace, people rent out their spare condo storage rooms there for cheap

check out the self storage places around udom suk or on nut. they tend to be cheaper than the ones in central areas. i've seen lockers for around 600-800 baht a month near bts on nut if you look for the smaller operators not the big chains. the one on sukhumvit 77/1 has a few sizes under 1000

tbh the ones near the industrial areas off rama 2 are way cheaper, saw a 4sqm room for 700 a month there

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
