Any recommendations anyone?

honestly you might have better luck heading a bit further out to some of the shops on nawamin road. there's a few small garages tucked between the car dealers that'll do bike wraps on the side for way less than the flashy car places. i paid around 3000 baht for a full matte black job on my old honda wave, took them two days. just ask around the soi entrances near the ptt station, someone will point u to a guy who knows a guy

Those car wrap places on Lat Phrao Soi 101 will sometimes take bikes if you ask nicely, but they charge like it's a Porsche. Head over to the little shop row opposite The Mall Bang Kapi, there's a guy named Noom who runs a small vinyl stall near the motorcycle parking area. He's done a few scooters for me, around 2500 to 4000 baht depending on the design, and he'll let you pick the roll from his stock. Just bring cash and a photo of what you want, he's not big on English but he'll get the idea.

check out ban motowrap on ram intra, they do bikes specifically and prices are pretty reasonable for a full wrap. think it's near the big c there

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
