I'm looking for places in Bangkok where smoking tobacco cigarettes is allowed indoors, without needing to step outside.

I only know of one spot in Nana, but I'm curious if there are others. Ideally, these places should have ashtrays available so that you can enjoy a cigarette while sipping a beer or having something to eat.

the dubliner on soi 22 has a proper smoking room in the back with its own door and fans, it's an irish pub so the vibe is dark and wood-paneled which hides the smoke pretty well. they do food til late and the pints are like 180 baht during happy hour. just walk past the bar counter and the smoking room is on the left with ashtrays already on the tables

Most indoor places have to follow the smoking ban by law, but there are a few spots that still have designated smoking rooms inside. Check out the Sportsman Bar on Sukhumvit Soi 13, they have a glassed-in smoking room with its own ventilation and ashtrays on every table. It's a proper expat pub with pool tables and food, so you can sit in there for hours with a beer and a pack of smokes without bothering anyone.

A more low-key option is the Londoner Brew Pub on Soi 33, they have a similar setup with an indoor smoking section that's separated from the main restaurant. The air con in there isn't great but the ashtrays are always out and the staff won't give you any trouble about lighting up.

honestly most indoor places in bangkok are smoke-free by law, but some dive bars just dont care. try the phone booth on sukhumvit so11, it's a tiny whiskey bar that lets u smoke inside if it's not too busy. theyve got ashtrays on the bar counter usually

another option is the old maya bar near nana, it's been around forever and they still have a little indoor smoking corner with fans. beers are like 120 baht so it's cheap too. just be ready for the smell to stick to your clothes

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
