honestly the best bag people i know work out of on nut area, not pratunam or sathon. there's a small workshop on soi on nut 70 that does custom bag runs for like 20-50 units at a time, the owner is a former north face sample maker. they're hard to find cause no website but you can walk in if you go during the week. also join the "bangkok makers & manufacturers" facebook group, it's mostly expats running small production lines and they share contacts openly. for modern textiles specifically, hit up the deadstock warehouse near bang na, it's called something like "fabric surplus bangkok" on google maps - they have dyneema and cordura rolls for a third of retail

check out the area around pratunam, specifically along petchaburi road soi 15/19. there's a cluster of small factories and fabric shops that do contract work for local streetwear brands. also hit up the bangkok textile center on rama 4, they have a directory of local manufacturers and sometimes host meetups for people starting out. i'd skip the big chatuchak market vendors for production, but they're good for seeing what materials are trending rn

if you're serious about modern textiles, walk around the sathon area and find the small ateliers tucked in the side sois. there's a place on soi sathon 12 that does custom prototyping for a few emerging brands, the owner worked with patagonia's supply chain years ago and knows technical fabrics. also the fabric district near khlong toei market has deadstock military-grade cordura and x-pac for way less than retail, just bring cash and know what denier you want. the pratunam advice is solid for volume but sathon is where you'll find the people who actually geek out on materials and construction.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
