honestly just ignore it, the scale is never accurate anyway. i tested mine once with dry clothes and it said 3kg when i barely put anything in. if it really bothers u, try resetting the machine by unplugging it for 10 minutes, that worked for my neighbor in Thong Lo. most people here just throw clothes in and hit start without even looking at it

The scale is notoriously bad on these condo machines. I've found that balancing the load helps more than you'd think - if you shove everything to one side it'll read way off. A friend in Phra Khanong swears by tossing in a dry towel to help the machine sense weight better, and she's had fewer error codes since. Honestly I just use a bathroom scale from HomePro and split loads by feel now, takes the guesswork out completely.

yeah the scale on these machines is basically a suggestion at best. i just weigh my laundry on a cheap digital scale from Lazada before loading, costs like 200 baht. way more reliable than the machine guessing, and you get a feel for what 7kg actually looks like after a few tries. most laundromats in Ekkamai have the same issue, nobody trusts em

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
