Does anyone know the dress code for Sing Sing Theatre and Baccarat?
Baccarat is a bit of a mixed bag depending on the doorman that night, but I'd skip shorts there too if you're planning to sit at the bar rather than just peek in. Sing Sing is a whole different vibe, they actually sell branded merch like t-shirts and caps at the door if you show up underdressed, which is a cheeky way around the no shorts rule. Both are within a few minutes walk of each other on Soi Cowboy, so if you're in doubt, wear jeans and a collared shirt and you'll be fine at either.
The bouncers at both places have seen it all, so they're pretty quick at the door. If you're a guy, shorts are a no-go at Sing Sing unless you're buying a 500 baht t-shirt from their counter to cover up. For Baccarat, dark jeans and clean sneakers will get you in 9 times out of 10, but I'd avoid flip-flops entirely on Soi Cowboy anywhere after 9pm.
Sing Sing Theatre is stricter than most Bangkok clubs, no shorts allowed for guys even if you're a tourist. Baccarat is more relaxed, I've seen people in decent shorts get in there during the week, but weekends they'll probably turn you away at the door. Both places are on Soi Cowboy, so if you show up in shorts you'll end up walking back to your hotel to change like I did last month.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
