Any libraries that are foreigner friendly/don't have to be a uni student? Any libraries that are foreigner friendly/don't have to be a uni student?

the thailand knowledge park (tk park) on the 8th floor of centralworld is prob your best bet for a modern workspace. it's 200 baht for a day pass or like 500 for a year if you're a foreigner, just show your passport. they've got proper desks, power outlets everywhere, and a cafe inside so you can camp out for hours. only catch is it closes at 8pm and weekends get busy with teens hanging out

the sasin graduate institute library on sathorn is technically for students but they let outsiders in for a small fee, like 50 baht per day. it's dead quiet with big windows overlooking the city and a/c that's way too cold. bring a jacket and your own laptop cause their computers are slow af

If you're near Sathorn, check out the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). The top floors have open seating and it's free, no membership needed, just walk in and find a spot. It's more of a creative vibe than a silent library, but the coffee shop on the ground floor is decent and the wifi is reliable. For total silence, the Neilson Hays Library on Surawong Road has a membership fee of about 500 baht per year for foreigners, and it's a proper quiet space with plenty of old books and wooden tables.

honestly the bangkok city library near ratchadamnoen avenue is solid and free, just need an id to get a card. it's a bit old school but has quiet reading areas and a/c. if you want something more modern, the national library on samsen road is worth a visit too, foreigners can get a temporary pass at the front desk. prob best to go on weekdays cause weekends get crowded with students cramming

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
