I need to get a Chester Step Test certificate (it's a very basic fitness test) for my next job. Does anyone know of any locations in Bangkok that do these? I've been googling like mad, but coming up short so far. I found one place that might do it in Pattaya, but nothing in Bangkok so far. Thought I'd ask here in case anyone else had needed it in the past.

honestly i'd skip the hospitals for this one, they'll prob charge way more than needed. there's a place called Fitlab on Sathorn that does VO2 max and step tests for like 800 baht, call them first to confirm it's the chester protocol specifically. also the sports science faculty at Mahidol Salaya will do it cheap if you're willing to trek out there, just email the lab coordinator.

Chester Step Tests aren't super common here, but I'd check with the sports science departments at places like Bangkok Hospital or Samitivej. They often do corporate medicals and fitness assessments. Alternatively, a few of the private physio clinics around Thong Lo or Ekkamai have the equipment and can run it for you. Expect to pay around 1,500-2,000 baht.

Try checking with the sports medicine clinics at Bumrungrad or the Thai Red Cross, they do all sorts of odd fitness certs. Not sure if it's listed online, just call them directly and ask for the exercise physiology unit.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
