How much cash should I bring for a 24hr layover in Bangkok?

I'm trying to figure out what I can pay with my credit card and what I'll need cash for. I booked a hotel for one night and will be visiting some temples in the morning and then mostly on food related… I'm trying to figure out what I can pay with my credit card and what I'll need cash for. I booked a hotel for one night and will be visiting some temples in the morning and then mostly on food related stuff, ranging from 7-11, to street food, to maybe even a fancy restaurant. I'm trying to bring as little Thai Baht as possible as I don't think I'll be back for a while.

Let me know if my assumptions are correct:

Taxi, subway, and bus all require cash unless I'm using Grab/GrabTaxi. Also, are tolls added to the final fare?

Grabbing a taxi is much easier than Grab from the airport.

Street food vendors all require cash. What about fast food like McDonalds or KFC?

Restaurants all take Mastercard and Visa, except for mom & pop stores and restaurant

Apologize if this feels like a half written post. My original flight was connecting through Shanghai but got cancelled and I got reboot through Thai Airways. I've never been to BKK and don't know what to expect. The exert above is just from research from the past day.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
