What's the best way to get a deposit in baht without a Thai Bank account?

When I first arrive I will stay in the school boarding and then look for apartments. I have been told that I will need two months deposit and the first month upfront in cash. I think this might be too much money to take out at a cash point and I won't have a Thai bank account when I first arrive. Would a company like Western Union be a good option to get around 50,000 to 60,000 baht from a UK bank account? Would anyone recommend any better ways of getting Thai currency? I don't really want to carry a lot of cash on the plane. Thank you!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
