honestly, i'd check out the glass studio at baan krua, it's a bit tucked away near siam but they do weekend workshops that are more hands-on than the touristy stuff. i tried their lampworking intro a few months back and the guy running it is super patient, lets u take your time. it's like 1800 baht for a 3-hour session i think, and they're cool with beginners making a mess

I'd check out Artisanal Glass Lab near Thong Lo. They do both lampworking and some small scale glass blowing, which is rare in Bangkok. The owner trained in Chiang Mai and he's got a proper studio setup, not just a tourist thing. Sessions run about 2,000 baht for a two hour intro and they're open Tuesday through Saturday.

There's a place called Siam Glass in the Charoen Krung area that focuses on lampworking, mostly beads and small sculptures. They run beginner workshops for around 1,500 baht and you get to take home whatever you make. I'd call ahead to book because they don't always have walk-in slots available.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
