honestly asoke is a nightmare for quiet but there are a few spots tucked away. try the rooftop at the centre point hotel on soi 10, it's called red sky alt or something similar - cheap beer and a decent view without the loud music. another one is find the locker room on sukhumvit 21, it's a tiny whisky bar with like 8 seats, super lowkey and the guy who runs it is chill.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
