yeah charley browns still does the half off margs from 5-7 i think, but honestly the food there is overpriced for what you get. if you want better bang for your buck, head to tichuca rooftop around 6, they have a 2 for 1 on singha towers till 7 and the view is way better than anything on sukhumvit 11
the vibe at tichuca is more chill too, not as loud as some of the other rooftop spots. for something different, try the bar behind the old wooden door on soi 23, they do 100 baht mojitos from 5-8 and it's a hidden gem most tourists miss
Charley Browns still does the half off margs from 5-7, though the crowd there gets rowdy fast. If you want something quieter, Rabbit Hole on Soi 11 has a pretty solid happy hour from 6-8 with 180 baht negronis and a much better cocktail game. Their hidden back room is usually less packed than the main bar.
Tichuca is solid but gets packed fast, especially on weekends. I'd hit up Teens of Thailand on Soi Nana (the old one, not the tourist strip) for their 4-7 PM deal. They do 150 baht negronis and the gin selection is absurd, way better than any rooftop gimmick. The place is tiny though, maybe 15 seats, so get there before 5 if you want a spot at the bar.
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
