bangkok's pretty open compared to most of asia, you'll see couples holding hands in sukhumvit or silom without any issues. the silom soi 2 and 4 area is basically the gay district with clubs and bars packed every night, but outside tourist zones like old town or some local markets you might get a few stares if you're showing a lot of pda. overall it's safe and accepting, just use common sense like anywhere else.
it's pretty accepted but depends on where u are and what vibe u want. the legal stuff is decent for asia, no anti-lgbt laws and same-sex marriage got passed recently, but socially it's more about being discreet in certain areas. if u go to a place like soi cowboy or nana that's more straight touristy, some bars might be less welcoming, but honestly most locals just don't care what u do as long as u respect their space. the community here is huge though, especially in the art and design scenes, u'll find events at places like river city or warehouse 30 that are super inclusive without being exclusively nightlife.
yeah it's pretty chill honestly, especially in the more central areas. the scene around silom is super vibrant and you'll find a lot of lgbtq+ friendly spots in thonglor and ekamai too if you want something a bit more lowkey

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
