Doesn't speak English nor me thai so can just ask if he wants them. Dont want to offend tho like I'm saying he can't afford clothes 🤣

just do it casually, like when you're heading out and he's there. hold the clothes out and say "for you, si?" with a head nod. the key is not to make it a big thing. thais pick up on tone more than words anyway, and if you're chill he'll know you mean well. i've seen this go sideways only when people make it weird by explaining too much or being overly apologetic

nah you're good just hand them over with a smile and say "for you" in english, he'll get it. thais are pretty chill about this stuff as long as you're not being a dick about it. i've given old shirts to the motorbike taxi guys at my soi and they were stoked actually. just do it privately not in front of the whole lobby or anything

honestly it's fine, just don't make it weird. thais have a whole thing called "nam jai" which is basically voluntary kindness, so offering something useful is actually seen as positive. but do it one on one with a simple smile and a nod, no long explanation needed. i'd fold them neatly in a bag rather than handing over a crumpled pile, makes it feel more like a gift than a hand-me-down. if he says no just smile and move on, no harm done

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
