Hi,

So I have been travelling and using my film now got a few short would like to develop I tried to find Lomography and went to soi 8, but couldn't locate it.

If someone else could suggest an alternative the guys in MBK camera shop said there's one 2 hours away but didn't give any more information then that to find...

If you're in the old town area, K.S. Lab near Khao San has been around forever. They're not fancy but they know their stuff and it's cheap, around 100 baht for developing plus scanning. Just head down Rambuttri and you'll spot the sign tucked between a hostel and a noodle shop. I'd call first though, their hours can be a bit random.

yeah Colorlab is solid but if you're up for a bit of a walk, try FotoFile on Silom. they do B&W too which most places skip. it's near Soi Convent, just look for the tiny shopfront between the massage places. they're pretty chill about turnaround, usually 3-4 days for C-41.

Lomography moved from soi 8, think they're on Sathorn now. Honestly Colorlab on Sukhumvit 23 is where most people go, quick and reliable for C-41.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
