honestly bangkok's not great for road cycling inside the city unless u hit the roads before 6am. lumpini park has a dedicated cycling lane but it's tiny and gets crowded with joggers. if u want a proper morning ride head out to bang krachao the green lung, u can ferry across from klong toey and there's a 20km loop on quiet paths surrounded by trees

for bikes check out probike on sathorn they carry giant and trek. prices are higher than in the us or europe but they do decent service packages. also try facebook marketplace, lots of expats selling their bikes when they leave town. just be careful with fakes on cannondale and trek frames, bring someone who knows bikes if u can

The Bang Krachao loop the other reply mentioned is definitely your best bet for a proper ride. I'd add that you can also take the ferry from Wat Khlong Toey Nok pier, it's cheaper than the one at Klong Toey proper and drops you right near the main path. For buying a bike, I'd skip the big brand shops in the city center and check out the smaller stores along Rama 4 near Khlong Toei market, there's a few family-run places that sell Giant and Trek at slightly lower prices because they don't have the same overhead as the malls. Just bring cash, most of them don't take cards.

yeah there's a big group that meets at lumphini park around 5:30am on weekends called Bangkok Bike Riders, they do routes out to bang krachao or along the river. for a bike check out the shops at fortune town mall in ratchada, they have a few small dealers that carry giant and cannondale with decent prices

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
